Privacy Policy

1.Who we are

YTShorts.ai is operated by Bhawika Kaushik, a sole proprietor based in India (“we”, “us”, “our”). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2.Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email address, and password (or your Google account identifier if you sign in with Google).
  • Content you provide: videos you upload or link, and the clips, captions, and voiceovers we generate from them.
  • Usage data: credits consumed, storage used, feature usage, and basic device/browser information.
  • Cookies: a single sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
  • YouTube data, only if you connect a YouTube channel: see “YouTube (optional)” below.
  • Payment information: handled entirely by our payment processor, Razorpay Software Private Limited — we never receive or store your card number.

3.How we use information

We use your information to provide and improve the Service, process your subscription and credits, generate the clips, captions and voiceovers you request, communicate with you about your account, and maintain the security of the Service.

4.Third parties we share data with

  • Razorpay — payment processing and billing on our behalf.
  • Google — optional Google Sign-In authentication, and YouTube API Services if you connect a YouTube channel (see below).
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure — hosting for our application and your stored files.
  • Modal Labs — cloud computing that processes your videos (transcription, rendering, and voice generation).
  • AI model providers (NVIDIA, OpenRouter, and Groq) — receive the text of your video's transcript to pick highlights, highlight keywords, and write narration. They do not receive your account details.
  • Resend — sends our account emails (verification, password reset).
  • Pexels — receives a few search keywords from your clip when you turn on AI B-roll, to find stock footage.

We do not sell your personal information.

5.Google user data

If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address, profile picture and Google account ID with us. We use them only to create your account and sign you in, show your name and picture in the app, and send you account emails. They are stored with your account on our servers and deleted when your account is closed. If you connect a YouTube channel, we also receive the YouTube data described in the next section.

We do not sell Google user data. We do not share it with anyone except the service providers that host and run YTShorts.ai for us (listed above) and, for publishing, YouTube itself. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to develop, improve or train AI or machine-learning models.

YTShorts.ai's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy (https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy), including the Limited Use requirements.

You can remove YTShorts.ai's access to your Google account at any time from Google's security settings (https://myaccount.google.com/permissions), and ask us to delete your account and all data we hold about you by writing to support@ytshorts.ai.

6.YouTube (optional)

If you connect a YouTube channel, YTShorts.ai uses YouTube API Services to publish the clips you choose to that channel. By connecting, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms), and Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) applies to the data Google processes.

We access only what publishing needs: permission to upload videos, and read-only access to your channel's name, ID and thumbnail so we can show which channel a clip will be published to. We store your channel's name, ID and thumbnail, an encrypted authorization token (so you don't have to reconnect for every upload), and a record of the clips you published (title, visibility, scheduled time and YouTube video ID). We do not read your other videos, comments, analytics or subscribers.

We use this data only to publish the clips you choose and to show you what you've published. We do not sell it, share it with anyone other than YouTube, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. As with all Google user data, the Limited Use requirements above apply.

We re-check the stored channel details at least every 30 days and delete them if access has ended. You can disconnect at any time from your Account page, which revokes our access and deletes the stored channel details and token; you can also revoke access from Google's security settings (https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions), after which we delete that data within 30 days. To have your publishing records deleted too, contact support@ytshorts.ai.

7.Data retention and deletion

Your uploaded videos and generated clips are deleted automatically once they are older than your plan's retention period (7 days on Free, 14 on Starter, 30 on Pro and Max), or earlier if you delete them from your library. Your account details are kept until you ask us to close your account. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

8.Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting support@ytshorts.ai.

9.Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

10.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the effective date above reflects the latest revision.
